Holiday Styling: Blue & Gold Edition

Our halls are officially decked! Welcome to our Blue & Gold Holiday Home Tour– I am so excited you are here! With the hardships of this year & many of us cooped up inside, I wanted to make our home extra magical & glam for the holidays. I hope you’ll enjoy & find some inspiration as I take you through rooms below.

Blue & Gold Holiday Styling: Living Room

The living room is where we spend most of our time, as it’s right off our kitchen. I wanted to find the perfect balance between cozy & elegant, so I settled on keeping the tones silver, gold, with pops of soft coastal blue. If you’re new to following May There Be Bubbly, you’ll quickly find that I absolutely love the color blue– it’s the accent color around majority of our home.

We’ve always loved the look & feel of a flocked Christmas tree. Although it is an absolute mess putting up, the flocked limbs give a more realistic vibe to an artificial tree. I always start by adding the ribbon first, then picks & fillers, following with ornaments last. I use our base neutral gold & silver ornaments, then add in our personalized ones. This year we incorporated blue into our ribbons & added bows throughout the body of the tree!

There are three things I always love for the holiday decorating: sparkle, snow, & anything with candlelight. So our bookshelves are filled with light up Christmas cottages & trains, & various bottle brush trees.

Blue velvet santa & wreath are from local boutique Colonial Designs. Nutcracker, birch logs, & ceramic blue santa from Home Goods. Gold sleigh is a vintage piece we found during an event store close-out sale & we freshened it up with some gold paint. Exact antelope wrapping paper is from Ballard Designs, similar is linked above.

Blue & Gold Holiday Styling: Hallway

Various mercury, ceramic, & bottle brush trees fill our entry table, with a pop of gold leaf surrounding. I love how the parade of trees brightens up this space! Because our stair runner has so much pattern working through it, I like to keep our stair garland simple & snowy, with a coastal fishnet ribbon weaved throughout.

Blue & Gold Holiday Styling: Kitchen

Blue is carried throughout our kitchen, mixed with greenery & red from some of our favorite children’s items. I like to keep our dining area traditional to accent our china cabinet accessories, but keep our island & counters playful for the kids.

Our monogram nutcracker pillows are from the fabulous June St. George, who makes the most wonderful personalized pillows, rugs, & home items for those who love a classic-meets-southern flare. Custom Santa’s cookies plate is from the talented For Pete’s Sake Pottery, who gives you endless customization in her gorgeous pottery pieces. I will be sharing more of her work in the Kids room’s when I feature their holiday decorations soon!

A HUGE thank you to Lauren Wallace Photography for capturing these fabulous shots of our home this season! Wishing all of you & your families a wonderful holiday season, filled with laughter, magic, & continued blessings. I hope our home has inspired you to make yours a cozy, magic filled place this Christmas.

xx,

Taylor
