I recently got back from a bachelorette trip to Palm Springs, CA to celebrate Anna (my longest childhood friend) and we had the absolute BEST time! The moment we booked the trip, I knew I had to do a travel diary for you guys. The best way to describe Palm Springs is a place where old school Hollywood glamour meets a desert oasis. Not to mention, modern architecture & rainbow doors!
Where to Stay
THE MARLEY: The Marley is hands down the coolest place I’ve ever stayed! It’s a Hotel Villa/Airbnb that houses 16+ guests. It’s an ideal spot for groups, bachelorette parties, or retreats who want to relax in total seclusion. The private feel + retro decor is enough to make you want to stay forever (photos of some of my favorites line the walls– Brigitte Bardot, Biggie Smalls, & Wiz Khalifa). The villa comes with 9 bedrooms & bathrooms, a commercial pool & hot tub, fire pit, stylish indoor & outdoor group hang-out spaces, chic dining area & a high-end kitchen.
Other places I’d recommend: The Parker, The Ace Hotel & Swim Club, The Colony Palms Hotel
GETTING AROUND: The Marley is very much centrally located, making travel time to almost anywhere less than 10 minutes. It was very convenient to get an Uber or Lyft. You could rent a car but we just took Uber for no joke about $8 a trip.
Things to Do
POOL: With temps averaging 114 degrees, the pool is always a good idea. We honestly spent majority of our days lounged in our private pool talking, eating, and drinking (sparkling lemonade for this momma)! On our first day pre-check in, we lounged pool side at The Saguaro surrounded by upbeat tunes & vintage 70’s barbie inspired decor — this is the rainbow hotel you see everywhere on Instagram (photos below).
HIKE: We spent early Saturday morning hiking the Tahquitz Canyon , which was only a 20 minute walk/5 minute car ride from our villa. The trail is just shy of 2 miles, leading you up 350 feet in elevation to the Tahquitz Waterfall– a stunning 60 feet of pouring water. The views are insanely gorgeous & the waterfall was just icing on the cake!
Other trails recommended: Joshua Tree National Park (an hour drive from Palm Springs)
RELAX/SPA: On Sunday we relaxed pool side before we had a masseuse come to the property to give 30-60 minute massages and it was HEAVENLY! A great way to spend our last day & being 23 weeks pregnant while traveling, it was much needed since I don’t often get away at home to pamper myself. I highly recommend this ‘in home spa’ idea for any Airbnb stay during a girls trip or bachelorette trip. It’s a great way to unwind after the weekend!
DINE: Both Friday & Saturday night we spent in our Villa, with delicious home cooked meals prepared by two chefs who came recommended by The Marley owner. It was so nice to have all the girls together in a more intimate setting, being able to talk & catch up over a good meal & wine without having to worry about restaurant noise, a reservation, or commuting. On Saturday morning Madison & I decided to take a little trip to the famous Parker Hotel to have brunch at Norma’s. The food was delicious & the decor was just as expected from the photos all over Instagram– luxurious, eclectic, & yellow everywhere. It is filled with Jonathan Adler decor & how can I not mention that famous big orange door 🙂 Our final night we had a low key patio dinner at Draughtsman — a casual vibe with craft beer & fine foods.
Other restaurants recommended: Purple Palm Restaurant, Bootlegger Tiki, Cheeky’s, & The Pantry
This weekend getaway was good for the soul. I got to celebrate one of the most beautiful spirits I know, catch up with old friends, & meet new ones. This was a very low-key weekend, yet filled with so much fun & stunning sights. I hope this travel diary gives you a little inspiration for either a Palm Springs getaway or an itinerary guideline for your next girls/bachelorette trip!

Taylor
