The Cake Bake Shop: Vivie’s 5th Birthday

I blinked & the one who made me a momma turned 5! Where in the world does that time go? We spent last Sunday celebrating with family at the cutest restaurant I’ve ever laid on eyes on– Gwendolyn Rogers’ Cake Bake Shop. My sister-in-law showed me photos of this adorable place months ago & I knew we had to take a mini day trip. The décor reminded me so much of Vivie’s room & the quaint atmosphere looked like the perfect place to celebrate her 5th. I was able to rent out the private room for 10 at the original Broad Ripple Village location, & worked with the event manager to select an adult & kids menu– including unicorn hot chocolate, sparkling snowberry champagne, quiches, & more. They of course baked the most delicious funfetti birthday cake with pink icing, topped with a ceramic castle & gold dipped candles, which we were able to take home as a keepsake. The entire shop resembles a fairytale– antique mirrors, sparkling chandeliers, french inspired accents, flocked trees, & swans. Framed photos from famous individuals across the globe fill the walls of Gwendolyn’s luxe bakery. From the wait staff dressed in baby pink & the diner style elegance to the smell of fresh baked macaroons, it’s truly a storybook restaurant. Sharing the images from our magical experience below!
